Witty Wicklow
Writers Workshop
Three non-Irish writers based in County Wicklow — Vitor Vicente (Bray), Jeroen Vandommele (Greystones) and Maria Stavropoulou(Newtownmountkennedy) — brought their lively Witty Wicklow Writers Workshop to a live audience for the first time at Greystones Library.

It was an evening of creativity, humour and conversation, structured around three themes:
Bohemians and Writers’ Stereotypes, Pen Names, and Having a Pint (or a Coffee) with My Character.
The event blended literary curiosity with local charm and concluded with short readings from each author.
The December session returns to its online format on The Witty Vitor Podcast, and the group will go live again in January — this time in Dublin.

Eretz Israel
Wednesday Webinars

Between Sirens and Psalms: The Power of Conversation in a Time of War was a special episode marking Rabbi Jonathan Sacks’s Global Day of Learning.
Portuguese author Vitor Vicente and Israeli licensed guide Marco Alexander explored the power of dialogue, prayer and human connection during moments of crisis.
Inspired by Rabbi Sacks’s teaching that “Torah is a commentary on life, and life is a commentary on Torah,” the conversation reflected on:

-
Faith and communication in times of war
-
Prayer as personal dialogue with G-d
-
How words shape our world — and our humanity
-
The meaning of listening in Jewish tradition
-
Finding calm and purpose amid uncertainty
This session offered a thoughtful space for reflection, resilience and meaningful conversation.

Vitor Vicente and Marco Alexander discusse related topics, along with their guests, every Wednesday at 'The Witty Vitor Podcast.'
